After visiting the Cliffs Of Moher and the Loop Head Peninsula, we spent two days walking and enjoying the landscapes of the Dingle Peninsula, the westernmost part of Ireland (excluding islands). Our visit there was a really great surprise as we saw the most impressive sea shores we have seen for a while in Europe.

The best way to enjoy this amazing place in autumn is to stay for the night in Dingle town center, and spend the day …

South from the Cliffs Of Moher there is the Loop Head Peninsula, a land bounded on the north and west side by the Atlantic Ocean and on the south by the River Shannon estuary. A small 1 mile piece of land saves the peninsula from being an island…

The best coast on this Irish peninsula is the west one, with a really nice and windy drive that makes drivers stop every kilometer to see a different view of all …

At the beginning of November, we went to Ireland for a 4 day trip on the western coast, where huge waves and impressive winds have shaped the landscapes for many years. From cliffs to sand beaches, every sea shore we visited in this country was a really great surprise, even at this time of the year.

The first place we visited was the well known Cliffs of Moher (Aillte an Mhothair in Irish), finalist of the worldwide project …

Here we are. This post is the last one about our last summer trip in Alaska, with 5 more pictures of Denali National Park’s wildlife. Soon I will create two dedicated galleries for this journey : the first one for the landscapes, the second one for the animals. Images will be full size.

Next posts will talk about my every day « photo trips » in Normandie as well as our 4 days trip scheduled at the end of the month …

Denali Wildlife [1/2]

We had the chance to see a lot of wildlife in the Denali National Park. Some from the bus, the others near the Wonder Lake campground. But the first ones we met were the beavers, when we hiked the short trail called « Beaver loop » not far from the park entrance. We watched them carrying big branches from the forest to their pond, working hard to build their dam : serious and concentrated!

Denali National Park

If I had to choose only one place from our trip to Alaska, no doubt it would be the Denali National Park. In this park Northern travelers can find everything they dream about : amazing and wild landscapes, huge mountains and a really important wildlife. From grizzlies to wolves, among moose, caribous, Dall sheeps and beavers, we saw in Denali more wild animals than anywhere else in the world.
